The Rivers state Commissioner of Police, Mr Dan Bature has disclosed that the force on the evening of Thursday, September 25, 2014 rescued four people from kidnappers in Port Harcourt.
Bature while briefing journalists revealed that among the four was one American-Nigerian and three Nigerians pointing out that the four persons were kidnapped in two different incidents.
He said the American-Nigerian, Donald Iwuagu, was baited by an impostor through Facebook. He revealed that the impostor posed with the name of Governor Liyel Imoke of Cross River State, giving him an assurance that he would help him make his political aspiration come true.
Meanwhile, the Rivers State police command made it known that they were bent on fishing out from the state all the kidnappers, cultists, armed robbers and other people involved in one social vice or another.
