80-year old father of former Plateau State Governor – Senator Joshua Dariye – Pa Defwang Dariye who was earlier kidnapped from his residence in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State has been found in Quaanpan Local Government Area of the State.
According to the police, no ransom was paid although the abductors had demanded a ransom of $10 million for his release.
It was also gathered that the kidnappers released Pa Dariye after much pressure from State Security Service (SSS) operatives who trailed them from Plateau to Nasarawa State.
Police also revealed that four people have been apprehended in connection with the abduction.
