A former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Mohammed Uwais, was attacked by masked gunmen suspected to be robbers on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at his official residence in Abuja.
According to reports, the gunmen had stormed Uwais’ house in Asokoro, Abuja, between the hours of 1am and 2am on Tuesday and absconded with plenty valuables after beating the security man into coma before gaining access into the house.
The bandits had climbed the rear fence of the house and went straight to the bedroom of the former CJN.
They locked him in his study room while they ransacked his bedroom.
The Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba, was said to have visited the house on Tuesday morning.
However, the police Public Relation Officer, federal capital territory command, Anjuguri Mamzah, when contacted said he was not aware of anyo robbery incident.
