Former Governor of Benue State, Gabriel Suswam has come out to debunk rumours that he was arrested in London for beating his wife.
Reacting to the reports, Suswam said the false rumours were generated by filthy Benue politiciams who wanted to tarnish his image at all cost. While condemning the latest propaganda scheme against him aimed to belittle all his achievements, Suswam cautioned the perpetrators of the rumours, asking them to set a limit to the falsehood being spread. The former governor further availed that he had not even been to the UK since leaving office and had been on vacation in Germany with his wife.
He also addressed another allegation that his wife had stormed the Benue State Liaison Office in Abuja with two large trucks in order to cart away valuables.
He said: “But I make bold to ask: Is it possible for one to destroy what he has spent his hard earned fortune and reputation in governance to build? Was it not the same government house that both me and the incumbent Governor Samuel Ortom met for inspection and stock inventory taken and issues of concern raised and resolved before I left?”
