BUENOS AIRES, Argentina – Nigeria’s U-20 football team, the Flying Eagles, have secured their place in the quarterfinals of the FIFA U-20 World Cup, following a convincing 2-0 win over tournament hosts, Argentina.
In a match that was keenly contested, goals from Ibrahim Muhammad and Rilwanu Sarki ensured that the Nigerian side moved on to the next round and consequently sent Argentina, a record six-time U-20 world champions, out of the championship.
