Over 40 shops had been razed in a fire outbreak that rocked the popular lower Erejuwa motor spare parts market in Warri.
Goods worth millions and money were also destroyed in the inferno thst started at about 12 am on Sunday, February 1, 2015.
Some of the affected shop owners blamed the vigilance group for allegedly leaving a burning cigarette close to the building although others maintained that the fire was intentionally planned to frustrate the shop owners and landlords.
It was gathered that there was power failure in the area during the time of the fire outbreak.
At the aftremath of the incident, traders were seen crying and recounting their loses from the fire inferno.
However, others solicited for help from the state government, saying they helpless following the huge damage.
One of them simply identified as Emeke said, “I just came in this morning and saw that the whole place has collapsed without any thing remaining in my shop.”
