The Kogi State House of Assembly was razed by fire in the early hours of Monday, October 10, 2022.
The assembly gallery was completely burnt in the fire. The source of the fire is unknown, as at press time.
Prince Mathew Kolawole, the speaker of the House, while speaking to journalists at the assembly complex said the house will allow security agencies to investigate the incident.
He, however, said this would not stop the assembly from performing its duty as the resolution of the house concerning Dangote Cement Plc stands.
