Fire has razed 14 rooms in a 46-bedroom family home in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
The infernor started at about 2am on April 5, 2021 at the residence at 13, Onibata compound, Alore, Ilorin.
Sources say the fire may have been caused by power surge.
Hassan Adekunle, the Fire Service spokesman, confirmed the incident.
He said a distress call was received from a resident simply identified as Abdulganiyu.
Adekunle said: “On getting to the scene, the fire was still raging and had destroyed some of the rooms in the building owing to the late call.”
