LAGOS, Nigeria — The family of Innocent Idibia, the Nigerian music legend widely known as Tuface or 2Baba, has officially petitioned the Department of State Services (DSS) over concerns that the artist may be missing.
The petition, submitted through the family’s legal representatives, Anuge, Anuge & Co, calls for an urgent investigation into Tuface’s unexplained disappearance and the suspicious activities on his social media accounts in recent days.
Disappearance and Growing Concerns
According to the letter addressed to the DSS, Tuface was last seen on February 10, 2025, when he left his residence for what appeared to be a routine morning walk.
Since then, he has not returned home, and all attempts to contact him by family members, staff, and his record label have failed.
Adding to the distress, the family noted that unusual messages soliciting financial assistance have been sent from Tuface’s social media accounts to several of his close associates—an alarming development given that the singer is financially independent.
“The implications of this situation are grave, and the possibility of foul play cannot be ignored. Given his status as a responsible family man and a dedicated artist, his prolonged silence is deeply concerning,” the petition states.

Ongoing Marital and Political Controversy
The singer’s disappearance comes at a time when he is embroiled in a high-profile divorce battle with his wife, actress Annie Idibia, and amid reports of his engagement to Natasha Osawuru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly.
In a viral video, Tuface’s mother, Rose Idibia, publicly appealed to Natasha Osawuru to disclose her son’s whereabouts, expressing fears that he may not be in the right frame of mind due to the emotional toll of his ongoing divorce.
Call for Urgent Investigation
The Idibia family’s petition urges the DSS to investigate the circumstances surrounding his disappearance and take necessary action to locate the missing singer.
“This situation has left his loved ones traumatized and put his music empire at risk,” the family stated.
Public Reaction and Unfolding Investigation
Tuface’s disappearance has sparked an outpouring of concern from fans and the Nigerian entertainment industry.
Social media platforms have been flooded with the hashtag #Find2Baba, as fans call for authorities to expedite efforts in locating the beloved music icon.
The DSS has yet to release an official statement regarding the petition, but security sources indicate that preliminary inquiries are underway.
As the investigation unfolds, the music industry, fans, and family members wait anxiously for updates on Tuface’s whereabouts.
