The Federal Government, on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, kept mute over the exact arrival date of President Muhammadu Buhari from London, the United Kingdom, UK.
President Buhari, who left Abuja on Tuesday, 30 March 2021 for a routine medical checkup, is expected to return this week.
Femi Adesina, the special adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, had in a statement penultimate Monday specifically announced the arrival period to be the second week of April 2021.
“He is due back in the country during the second week of April 2021,” the statement said.
However, the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, parried the question that sought to know the exact date Nigerians should expect the President this week.
“Today is Wednesday, this week finishes on Saturday.
“So, what’s the big issue in that one?”, Mohammed told State House reporters after Wednesday’s Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
The minister said the government was currently more concerned with the issue of insecurity rocking the country.
