The embattled state governor of Adamawa state, Murtala Nyako who is currently facing impeachment threat from the state house of assembly has alleged that the Federal government has frozen the state government’s bank accounts.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had passed with directive to freeze the state accounts sequel to the governors impeachment notice, according to Daily Times
The governor who made the assertion through his director of press and public affairs, Ahmad Sajoh complained that the action was part of the series of harassment and victimization strategies of the President to deal with the governor.
He stated that the development would affect civil servants and social workers salaries especially during Ramadan period (fasting).
