A Kano based Human rights activist and immediate chairperson of International Federation of Women Lawyers, Hajiya Hussaina Aliyu weekend survived attack by unknown gunmen who snatched her car at gunpoint, Vanguard reports.
According to Aliyu, she was forced out of her car at gun point around 7.00pm as her gate. The gunmen fired shots in the air and soon after, vanished.
The whole operation lasted for barely 60 seconds and the robbers made away with her vital documents and her personal effects.
“I give glory to Allah for his mercies,” she said.
The incident has been reported to the police. However, when newsmen contacted, the Acting Public Relations Officer, Kano police command, DSP Mustapha Abubakar he declined comments.
