‘People Are Suffering And We Can’t Reach Buhari For Advice’ – Father Mbaka

Must read

Controversial Roman Catholic priest, Reverend Ejike Mbaka, has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to reach out to clerics in order to know the truth about the economy.

The spiritual director of the Adoration Ministry Enugu (AMEN), made this declaration at the ministry’s auditorium during the cross over service to 2017 on December 31, 2016.

“We cannot reach him for advice because of the kind of people around him,” he said.

Mbaka also asked the president to tackle the challenges facing the country, saying “many Nigerians are suffering”.

“Though the president is trying on corruption and security, Nigerians are hungry; they want to see more changes,” he said.

“There is the need to assist businessmen and women in their businesses.”

He urged Nigerians to be patient and prayerful assuring them that the hardship will be over in 2017.

“Nigeria is set to be great again,” he said.

Father Mbaka has been in the news for years his political statements. The outspoken priest came under intense fire from human rights activists and politicians after he declared that “Jonathan’s men” would attempt to assassinate President Muhammadu Buhari in 2016.

The ‘prophecy’ which is not known to have come true led to condemnation from the Catholic Council of Bishops and is believed to be the reason for Mbaka’s transfer from Enugu to a rural parish in the same state.
