A 50-year-old farmer, David Gray has strategically used an inflatable female doll as a scarecrow to keep the deer away from his farm.
According to the farmer, the £4.82 doll has proven more effective than the other scarecrows he used previously in his Glenhead Farm in Banton, near Kilsyth, north Lanarkshire in United Kingdom.
The man said he wanted to get something that appeared more real than the usual scarecrow said he ordered the sex doll from Amazon and drove her to the field on the back of his quad bike.
He said: “She has made a much better job of it than my last scarecrow, which was made from a carrier bag on the end of a stick.
“And she has given my sheep a rest from the locals.
“The reaction from people round here has been great
“We have had loads of people stopping to look at her when they are going past. There has almost been a few crashes at the corner where she is because people do a double take when driving past.”
Gray, who has 2000 sheep and 60 cattle, has lived on the farm all his life. He was out on his tractor cutting silage yesterday as the weather was nice enough for the first time in weeks, but he took time out to speak to Daily Record.
The farmer said his mother thought the doll was her 16-year-old grand daughter, Heather, an Agricultural student.
The farmer’s 52-year-old wife, Fiona, said: “David loves a laugh and is well known for his pranks. I can see him raiding my wardrobe for clothes for her – but he better not dare.”
