31-year-old Togolese footballer, Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor has been granted compassionate leave by Tottenham Hotspur for a second time this season to return home and fix his family issues which he had taken to social media to lament about.
As they brace up to play their final game in the season against Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday, March 24, 2015 the head coach of the Spurs, Mauricio Pochettino excluded Adebayor from training .
The Telegraph reported that he will not travel on the post-season tour to Malaysia and Sydney.
In the latest post on the issues between himself and his family which he dubbed ‘Part 3’, Adebayor revealed that he had contemplated suicide a number of times save for the advise from his sister, Iyabo.
Meanwhile, Adebayor could have possibly played his last game for Tottenham as they intend to sell him during the summer.
The striker was granted a similar leave last December for one week due to a worsened health condition of a close family member.
Since his return to the club before Christmas, Adebayor has just made only five appearances, starting just one game.
Adebayor still has about one year before his contract with the club expires.
Although he has consulted with Chelsea striker, Didier Drogba about his problems concerned friends of the footballer claim he pays deaf ears to advice concerning the lingering family feud.
With the rate and venom with which he voices his family issues via social media, there are fears that it might scare away interested clubs from making moves to buy him.
