The Lagos State Police Command has reacted to the call by one Eze Igbo of Ajao Estate, Fredrick Nwajagu inviting the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, to the state.
The Eze invited IPOB members to secure the properties of the Igbo people in the state.
Following his call, Nwajagu was arrested by the Nigeria Police and the Department of State Services, DSS at a hotel in Ejigbo.
In a 49 seconds video, Nwajagu said the call became necessary following the attacks on Igbo people in the state.
Markets, mostly populated by Igbos, have been targeted by unknown arsonists during and after the general elections.
Reacting, the spokesman of Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin said on Friday, March 31, 2023, that the command would not fold its arms and allow such in the state.
To start with, the ever-ready @LagosPoliceNG will never fold its arms and allow such within the state… https://t.co/sHGZdIPdxB
