The was a major scare on Monday, February 2, 2015 in Gombe State after a bomb went off at the parking lot of the Gombe Stadium minutes after President Goodluck Jonathan.
The President was in the state as part of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential campaign rally for his re-election bid.
According to eye witnesses the suspected explosive device detonated at about 3 pm.
A local reporter said: “The president had just passed the parking lot and we were trailing behind his convoy when the explosion happened… just 100 metres (yards) from the bus we were driving in.”
No casualty has so far been reported as this is a developing story.
