EXCLUSIVE: The Real Reason I Dumped APC – Rivers Deputy Governor, Tele Ikuru Reveals [LISTEN]

Must read

The deputy governor of Rivers state, Engr. Tele Ikuru had dumped the All Progressive Congress, APC, and decamped to ruling People’s Democratic Party, PDP, barely a week to the general elections.

In a communique obtained by The Trent on Monday, March 23, 2015, the deputy governor categorically stated that the APC was a party of insurgents, rebels and anarchists.

The statement which is meant to appeal to the conscience of the electorates both in Rivers state and beyond maintained that the opposition party members were mere pretenders and full of deceit.

He said, “APC is a party founded on deception and it thrives on unholy propaganda and falsehood.”

According to Ikuru, he joined the party in December 2013 out of sheer loyalty for his boss and has never been comfortable ever since due to the level of corruption inherent therein.

He said, “Ever since, as the true nature and motives of APC are unveiled, I have continued to twist and turn in extreme mental and emotional agony. The more I struggle to belong, the more the Rivers man in me rejects the APC.

“APC is a party founded on deception and it thrives on unholy propaganda and falsehood,” he stated.

While commending the present administration for the numerous positive changes it has made in the country, Ikuru endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan and urged electorates to re-elect him in the general elections scheduled for Saturday, March 28, 2015.

He also called on the electorates in the state to vote for the People’s Democratic CAndidate, Chief Barr Nyesom Wike (CON) because he has a credible record and possesses characteristics of a great leader unlike his APC counterpart.
