The face and body of a pretty 24-year-old lady, Juliet Osimen had been disfigured with an acid which her married ex-militant lover poured on her because she asked to back out from the relationship after she discovered he was married with 3 children.
Osimen from Edo state is a hair stylist has been left with a monstrous look which only would be salvaged if she undergoes a cosmetic surgery in India.
According to Vanguard, she battles to survive after almost one year of intensive care at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Benin, she requires more that N5 million for a medical trip to Indian for corrective surgery to bring her back to her former self.
The victim who now has a monstrous look narrated her encounter with her ex-lover simply called Austin, a repentant militant from from Ndokwa West local government area of Delta State.
The going was good as the relationship seemed all rosy until she discovered that Austin was married with three children.
This made her opt out of the relationship but little did she know that the resulting effects of her decision would be life threatening.
After she made his decision known to him, Austin who was also involved in abducting people told her ‘You can’t leave me. If you try it, I will so damage you that no man would want to look at you, so I will still be the only one to marry you.’
The family of the victim are currently making a plea to enable them raise enough money to take her to India for the surgery.
Meanwhile, Austin was arrested in Lagos last month by the operatives of the police at the Ekpan police command after being on the run for two years.
The victim’s father, Pastor Osimen Sunday and her mother in a plea to well-meaning Nigerians said, “We are appealing to the public to please help us and our daughter with donations to go to India for her surgery.
