Governor Sullivan Iheanacho Chime of Enugu state has declared Thursday, September 25, 2014 a work free day in Enugu State.
In a statement by the state commissioner of information, Mr Chuks Ugwoke, he stated that this was to enable Enugu State citizens and other residents to participate fully in the rally organized by the Enugu State Movement for the Re-election of President Jonathan (EMJ). in honour of President Goodluck Jonathan.
The grand rally will take place at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu by 10 am.
According to the Statement, all schools, markets, banks and other financial institutions in Enugu State, will be closed on today as a result of the work free day declaration.
Ugwoke further advised relevant authorities to take note of this directive while urging Enugu citizens to honour the President by turning out for the rally en-mass.
