Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna lawmaker has appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari government to protect the lives of End SARS protesters.
His comment is coming after the arrest of some protesters at the Lekki toll gate.
Instagram Comedian, Macaroni, and some #OccupyLekki protesters were arrested by the Nigeria police at the toll gate.
Recall that End SARS protesters had insisted on a protest after the Lagos judicial panel ordered reopening of Lekki toll gate despite no justice for those who lost lives in October 2020.
Reacting, Sani on his Twitter page on Saturday, February 13, 2021, said peaceful protest was a fundamental human right that should be permitted, as it was enjoyed by those in power.
PEACEFUL protest is a fundamental right once enjoyed by those on the throne today.permit & Protect the protesters.#LekkiTollGateProtest
