ABUJA, Nigeria – The Presidential Election Petition Court, PEPC, in Abuja on Friday, June 23, 2023, admitted into evidence a transcript used for admission into Chicago State University, which indicates that President Bola Tinubu was identified as female.

This document, along with others, was tendered by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, as part of a joint petition challenging President Tinubu’s victory in the February 25, 2023, presidential election.

Other documents admitted into evidence include a certified true copy of a certificate reportedly issued to President Tinubu by Chicago State University, a National Youth Services Corps certificate issued in the name of Tinubu Bola Adekunle, a party membership card, a certificate of service from Mobile Oil Nigeria Plc, a notarized U.S. court judgment for criminal asset forfeiture involving President Tinubu, and a printout of a Guinean passport belonging to him.

The documents were tendered through the petitioners’ 27th witness, Mike Enahoro-Eba, an Abuja-based human rights and public interest lawyer, who had been subpoenaed to testify.

Under cross-examination by the lead counsel to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, the witness stated that he filed a suit against President Tinubu as a human rights and public interest lawyer at a Magistrate Court.

INEC, President Tinubu, and the All Progressives Congress (APC), who were listed as respondents in the petition, raised objections to the admissibility of the documents but said they would provide reasons for their objections at the final address stage.

The court admitted the documents and marked them as exhibits.
