Security officials have apprehended some fake soldiers in Badagry Lagos State and Avara, Isoko South local Government Area of Delta State.
The suspects were believed to have fueled election malpractices in the states during the Saturday, April 11, 2015 polls.
A reliable source told Daily Times that vigilant soldiers noticed the men in army uniform and a quick check on them revealed that they were not soldier.
The security agents immediately recovered the arms from them before arresting and taking them into custody.
Similarly, security operatives in Isoko discovered the fake soldiers in the wee hours of Saturday, April 11, 2015 and immediately arrested them.
Speculations are high from different political parties that the fake soldiers were hired by their rivals as agents for election rigging.
The All Progressive Congress, APC claimed to be aware of the plot by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to influence the electoral process with the help of some army personnel during the polls.
