Kaduna State Government has announced a partnership with the North Korean government.
The partnership, sealed with a memorandum of understanding (MOU) which was to be sign in 2014 by the former administration of Kaduna led by former Governor Mukhtar Yero, would focus on “economic growth and development” for Kaduna State.
This partnership between the Kaduna State Government and North Korea is one of the projects Governor Nasir El Rufai has continued with in his administration. Information is scant on the nature of the partnership, which was disclosed to the public by the state government using micro-blogging website, Twitter.
Speaking from his Twitter handle, Mr. Muyiwa Adekeye, special adviser on Media and Communication to the Governor announced, “Jong Yong Chol, ambassador of North Korea, to @elrufai: “We offer technical assistance to Kaduna State.” He shared this news with a photo of Governor El Rufai and Ambassador Chol.
