Chelsea winger, Mohamed Salah has joined Serie A side, AS Roma on a season-long loan deal which comes with an option for the Italian side to sign him on a permanent basis next season.
After failing to secure a starting shirt at Chelsea, Salah was shipped out on loan to Fiorentina for the second half of the season. The Egyptian who happens to be the first man from his country to play for Chelsea proved to be an integral part of the setup at Fiorentina where he scored 9 goals in 26 appearances.
Roma have confirmed the signing of Mohamed Salah on loan from Chelsea with a view to a permanent transfer next summer.
The Egypt international spent the second half of last season on loan at Fiorentina, where he made a massive impact, netting nine times in 26 appearances.
Speaking to Roma’s official TV channel after joining the side, the 23-year-old said:
“I think Roma are one of the biggest clubs in the world and I’m happy to be in this team.”
“I think everybody here has ambition and everybody wants to win the title.
“Everybody will give their best to make the fans happy.”
