Must read

Despite the Blue Toe syndrome that the midfielder is suffering, Belgium manager, Marc Wilmots. believes Eden Hazard could still play for the national team in the upcoming Euro 2016 qualifiers.

The winger had risked the injury to played the full match against Arsenal in his most recent outing for Chelsea, scoring in the first half of the match.

Wilmots believed that Blue Toe syndrome will have little or no effect on Eden’s performance on the field as he feels it is a minor issue. His toe looks blue, but there is certainly not a fracture,” he told Sport Wereld.

He also hopes that Eden may join the group as soon as possible.

Wilmots added that Hazard’s Chelsea team-mate, Thibaut Courtois, is also expected to play after suffering a head injury in the Arsenal game as he undergoes another examination on Tuesday morning.

Blue Toe syndrome is the result of a clot that settles in the small arteries of the feet.
