Ebonyi State Governor, Martin Elechi on Monday, January 19, 2015 did a major cabinet reshuffle, sacking the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Felix Mbam, who has been sick and out of the country for the past four months, replacing him with Boniface Chima.
The governor also replaced some commissioners and special advisers who had resigned their jobs in order for them to participate in the forthcoming general elections.
As part of the reshuffling, Commissioner for Works and Transport, Chukwuma Nwandugo has been directed to oversee the Department of Petroleum, Pricing and Distribution.
Other changes will see the Commissioner for Inter-party Dialogue, Jonah Egba head the Grants and Donor Agency and will also take over the Economic Empowerment and Poverty Reduction while the Commissioner for Environment, David Egbu, moved to the Department of Solid Minerals.
