There are unverified reports that a patient suspected to be infected with Ebola virus is dead in Rivers State.
According to the reports, the patient, whose name is yet to be provided, returned from Lagos showing symptoms of the killer disease. He was later tested positive to the virus while on admission at a private hospital in D-line area of the state capital.
Meanwhile, reports from the Rivers Government House reveals that the state governor, Rotimi Amaechi has cancelled his proposed tour of Obio-Akpor Local government area.
However, the state ministry of health has called for a meeting with the media possibly with regard to the recent development.
