An employee of the United Nations (UN), Edward Bangura-Sesay has died on Saturday, October 18, 2014 due to the Ebola virus, bringing the number of UN workers who have lost their lives nto the virus to three, an Al-Jazeera report states.
Bangura-Sesay was quarantined on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 in Sierra Leone after his wife had showed signs of the virus.
On Monday, October 20, 2014 the US introduced stricter protocols for health workers treating victims of the, directing all medical personnel to wear protective clothing that covered their whole body surface when treating Ebola patients.
The new measures will also see health workers undergo training and a demonstrate competency in the use of the protective gear among others.
