Oluchi Igwedibia also known as ‘Obatosu‘, the younger brother of deceased notorious criminal and cultist, Don Wanny has been killed by a combined team of the Army and Department of State Security, DSS, who trailed him to his hideout in Sabo Iyakpe, Etsako West in Edo State on Sunday, January 28, 2018.
Simeon Nwakaudu, special assistant to the Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, commended the gallantry of men of the DSS and the Nigerian Army for killing Igwedibia on Facebook.
Oluchi Igwedibia who played a prominent role in the New Year killings by Don Wanny’s gang in Omoku was among the 32 terrorists declared wanted by the Rivers state security council.
Wike had stated that none of those declared wanted by the Rivers State Security Council would go free, saying that they would all be brought to justice.
The governor placed a N20 million bounty for any credible information that would lead to the arrest of the wanted cultists, He reiterated that the bounty was still in place.
Wike assured the security agencies and other stakeholders that the state government would continue to work with them to ensure that Rivers state remained safe.
