Drugs Found in Lamar Odom’s System, Brain Damage ‘Likely’, Hospital Source Says

Must read

Lamar Odom overdosed on drugs, E! News has learnt.

A source inside Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas tells us that “drugs were found in his system,” and doctors are treating the condition as an “overdose.” Lamar remains unconscious and on a ventilator. He is still alive. It appears the Los Angeles lakers star suffered from “prolonged loss of oxygen leading up to a stroke”.

“So, likely there’s been brain damage, though they’re not sure how much,” the source adds. “Virtually every drug imaginable was found in his system.”

Lamar appears to have suffered and “ischemic stroke,” which occurs when a blood clot prevents blood flow to the brain. This kind of stroke is often associated with a cocaine overdose, among –other drugs. Our source adds Lamar that “had-been partying since Friday.”

“He was doing crack cocaine all weekend and he choked on his mucous,” the insider explains. “They’re now trying to fix all the damage it has done.”

Although doctors are treating Lamar’s status as an overdose, it does not appear to be a suicide attempt. More It was most likely an overdose, sources in the hospital say. “The long term effects of drug use has taken a toll on his body and the binge this time around was just too much for him to handle,” the source says.

Lamar suffered brain damage though he is not brain dead.

Khloe Kardashian’s ex-husband was discovered unconscious at 3:30 pm Tuesday at the Bunny Love Ranch and rushed to a local hospital before being transferred to Sunrise Hospital.

Kris Jenner was spotted outside of Sunrise Hospital early this morning, where Odom is hospitalized with ex-wife, Khloe Lamar by his side. Another source told Us Weekly that Khloe has-been “completely heartbroken and inconsolable” since the news broke, adding that she had been “worried about Lamar for a very long time” despite cutting off contact with him when they broke up.

His teammates have turned to social media to show their love and Kendall Jenner has also tweeted for Lamar, writing, “Please do not go.”

Mychal Thompson, Laker’s trainer and father of NBA star Klay Thompson, told E! News exclusively that the team is keeping Lamar in their thoughts at all times. “We are all praying for Lamar and we wish him the best,” he said.
