Canadian rapper, Drake has spoken up for the first time about his powerful collaboration with Nigerian pop star, Wizkid and English rapper, Skepta.
In July 2015, Drake jumped on the remix of Wizkid’s hit song, Ojuelegba after Skepta had introduced him to the original version of the chart-topping song.
In a new interview with Fader, the 28-year-old was asked if he jumped on the track because he needed a larger audience in foreign markets and this was is response:
“I just did it because I was in the moment. I wasn’t thinking like, ‘Oh man, I gotta get my brand up in Nigeria.’ “Not to say that’s not important. I’m super-honored to be on that song.”
Ojuelebga Remix also featured English rapper, Skepta.
