Liverpool Fc have completed the signing of Joe Gomez for fee reported to be about £3.5 million from Charlton Athletic on 5 year deal.
The 18-year-old England international underwent a medical on friday and will start preseason training with the reds.
Gomez won the 2014 European Championship in Malta with the England Under-17 side.
He made 24 appearances for Charlton last season and is the Anfield club’s fourth summer signing, after midfielder James Milner, striker Danny Ings and goalkeeper Adam Bogdan.
He is expected to go out on loan to Derby county.
