The Nigerian Wailers, a Nigerian political pressure group, has told the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Muhammadu Buhari and his followers not to rejoice yet.
The group in an emailed statement issued and signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Ibrahim Sani Ringim in Abuja on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, the group described the outcome of the election as *Not To Be Free And Fair*, gauging from the reactions of most Nigerians, they are not satisfied that their votes did not count.
The group have told INEC to make public the statistical audit of Nigerians who registered through the smart card readers across the country.
INEC had before the election, in its own guidelines publicly announced that no Nigerians would be allowed to vote without card readers accreditation, Sani stressed that it should not be hard for the commission to provide this simple information to all parties, to absolve itself from any complicity in the alleged rigging that marred the outcome of the election.
According to the group, President Buhari and his party APC should not rejoice yet, because, the weighty evidences of ballot box snatching, underage voting, violence, results without elections, brutality of voters by security forces and outright cancellation of votes in oppositions strongholds which has been documented by the local and international observer groups CANNOT be wished away by all other candidates and stakeholders in Nigeria and across the world.
The group said that President Muhammadu Buhari who his followers claimed that he has a rare integrity should have rejected the results owing to the glaring evidences of widespread of doctored results recorded for his party APC especially in Borno, Kaduna, Kano, Yobe, Bauchi, Zamfara, Katsina, Lagos, Nassarawa and other, the President should not be a partaker of fraudulent election, if indeed he is what many of his followers claimed that he is.
The Democracy Nigerians craved for is the one where votes of majority of Nigerians will throw up a president through a free, fair and transparent election, but we cannot agree that this election that INEC claimed it re-elected President Muhammadu Buhari is free and fair, because it lack credibility from every spectrum.
INEC must be able make public its own reports from this election, the integrity of the commission needs urgent redemption.
We however call on all the well meaning Nigerians to stand up to rescue Nigeria, this is the only country we can call our own and must not allow it to slide totally into a failed state aided by some few dark minded people amongst us who do not care if the nation burn down once they satisfy their own selfish desire.
Days ago, we saw how the stock market reacted to the election, shrinking with over N85 billion within 6 hours, we also got a report of renewed attacks on Innocent Nigerians in Kajuru Kaduna and Sokoto State, these were few basis in which the country wanted a new lease of life from a fresh candidate.
Already, the mask of deceit by collaborators in other political parties are falling off, their acceptance of the faulty results and congratulatory message shows that they were part of the plot to rig against Nigerians, Sani said.
The group said, from what we have seen President Buhari done before, he may likely resume his clamp down on the oppositions just to remain in Power against the true reflection and outcome of the election, we are calling on the international communities for the sake of ordinary Nigerians, not to allow this barbaric situation to snowball into chaotic and uncontrollable environment.
*We are also calling on President Buhari to free Sheikh Elzakzaky, Deji Adeyanju, Engr Buba Galadima, Austin Okai, and other political prisoners from the illegal arrest. The beauty of democracy is for every citizens to freely express their opinions.*
The group prevails on the supporters of the Presidential candidate of PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and candidates of other political parties to remain calm, and avoid any form of provocation from APC and their supporters, that the mandate can be retrieved by legal mean since evidences are too much to count and not through violence.
