LOS ANGELES, USA — Fashion designer Bryana ‘Bana’ Bongolan has filed a $10 million lawsuit against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, alleging that the music mogul groped her and dangled her over the edge of a 17th-floor balcony at the apartment of his ex-girlfriend, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, in a terrifying incident in September 2016.
The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles County, accuses Combs of sexual battery, false imprisonment, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and other related claims.
Bongolan, who was 100 pounds at the time, alleges that the event was part of a broader pattern of aggressive and abusive behaviour by the 55-year-old entertainment mogul.
The Balcony Incident
According to the lawsuit, the incident occurred during a visit to Ventura’s apartment in the early hours of the morning.
Bongolan claims that Combs barged in and confronted her on the balcony, accusing her of an unspecified wrongdoing.
When she resisted, Combs allegedly groped her breasts before forcibly lifting her onto the balcony’s banister, shouting, “Do you know what the f— you did!”
Bongolan, who says she struggled desperately to avoid being thrown over the edge, was reportedly overpowered by Combs, who allegedly dangled her above the drop.
The altercation ended only when Ventura screamed at Combs to stop, reminding him that Bongolan’s then-girlfriend was present inside the apartment.
Combs is said to have then pulled Bongolan back from the banister, only to throw her onto the balcony furniture.
In her lawsuit, Bongolan claims that to this day, she does not know what Combs believed she had done to provoke such an attack.
Alleged Pattern of Abuse
The complaint also references other incidents that Bongolan claims were signs of a pattern of abusive behaviour by Combs.
She alleges that she witnessed an altercation between Combs and Ventura, during which Combs allegedly threw a kitchen knife at Ventura, who then threw one back in self-defence.
Bongolan describes this as evidence of the toxic and violent nature of Combs’ relationships.
Further accusations in the lawsuit include Combs’ alleged mistreatment of Bongolan during their professional collaboration.
She claims to have been forcibly drugged, cornered, and threatened during a photoshoot, as well as subjected to violent outbursts and erratic behaviour from the mogul.
Additionally, Bongolan references rumours about other disturbing events connected to Combs, including an explosion involving rapper Kid Cudi‘s car after he briefly dated Ventura.
These incidents, she suggests, are part of a broader pattern of troubling and violent behaviour by Combs.
Combs’ Legal Response and Ongoing Legal Troubles
Combs’ representative has strongly denied Bongolan’s allegations.
In a statement, the spokesperson said, “Anyone has the right to file a lawsuit, regardless of the evidence they may or may not have.”
The representative expressed confidence that Bongolan’s claims would ultimately be proven to be without merit, asserting that the lawsuit is baseless.
This lawsuit comes amid Combs’ ongoing legal battles.
The music mogul, who is currently in federal custody at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, is facing charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for prostitution in a case unrelated to Bongolan’s claims.
Prosecutors allege that Combs orchestrated “freak offs” involving coerced participation and elaborate sex performances. He has been denied bail three times since his arrest in September.
