It was a free for all as members representing Burutu North and South in the Delta State House of Assembly exchange blows over the constitution of the local government membership list for the Burutu Local Government PDP congress coming up on Thursday, May 5, 2016.
An eye witness, who would not want to be named, said argument started when one group insisted that proper congress should be done to elect the local government PDP executives.
He further said the other group was not comfortable with the arrangement, a development which led to two house of assembly members representing the area, Daniel Yingi and Kennedy Daubry exchanging blows in the presence of their constituents.
The eye-witness, who spoke to The Trent, said that majority of the house was of the opinion that due to the setback the party had during the last general elections that internal democracy must be practiced to right the wrongs and mistakes that led to PDP losing at the national elections.
But in a phone call, Daniel Yingi, who represents Burutu North, denied that there was a fight, rather he said there was a misunderstanding which never degenerated into a fight as represented by his constituents.
Kennedy Daubry did not pick calls nor did he respond to text messages sent to his mobile phones.
