David Beckham has signed up as the face of a new campaign for Ebola outbreak in a bid to contain the spread of the deadly disease.
The football star and model, who was unvieled as a face of Ebola awareness campagin on Sunday, October 12, 2014 and would be appearing in a short video which will be screened in West Africa where he would describe ways to stop the transmission of the virus and contain it from spreading
President of the Sierra Leone Football Association, Isha Johansen, tells The Sun on Sunday newspaper that it is a massive advantage for the movement to have David Beckham involved as the face of the UNICEF driven campaign will yield commendable result.
“His sympathetic message will be broadcast across the country and the whole of West Africa, and it will raise the importance of how to fight this disease by simple things like good cleanliness.”
Beckham would probably be visiting almost all the Ebola affected area in the documentary.
