Daughter of Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia Allegedly Killed by Domestic Staff in Lagos

LAGOS, Nigeria — In a tragic incident that has left the Parkview Estate community in shock, Miss Aribemchukwu, the daughter of Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia, was found dead outside her home on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 morning.

Aribemchukwu, who was in her early 30s and the eldest of two children, was discovered lifeless near the gate of her residence.

Sources indicate that the murder may have been committed by three newly hired domestic staff.

The suspects are alleged to have attempted to stage the scene to suggest that Aribemchukwu was outside the house when the incident occurred.

Reports claim they tried to fabricate a story that she had gone out in an Uber the previous night, and her body was found outside when the driver resumed work in the morning.

However, evidence at the scene contradicted this narrative. Signs of an attempt to clean up blood inside the house and in the compound indicated that the incident took place within the home.

This discrepancy led authorities to suspect foul play and to detain the three domestic staff members for interrogation by intelligence officers.

At the time of her death, Aribemchukwu was alone in the house with the new staff.

She was employed by the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), where she had built a promising career.

The police have taken the suspects into custody and are currently conducting a thorough investigation to uncover the details surrounding the murder.
