Satan many times corrupt our understanding of Scripture to the extent that many people erroneously believe that money is the root of all evil. The Bible never says so. Rather it says “the LOVE of money is the root of all evil”-1 Timothy 6:10.
In fact Ecclesiastes 10:19 actually says “money is the answer for everything”. To understand what The Bible is saying, let us consider the words of Jesus when asked to name the greatest commandment.
“Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Jesus is telling us that there are only two things we should love. God and other human beings.
Now, when you love inanimate objects like money, power and fame, but you don’t love God and other people, you have reached the stage where “the LOVE of money is the root of all evil”. You will be willing to do evil to obtain money and you will never be satisfied with such as you have. So, what is the Christian way for getting money?
“To the person who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God “- Ecclesiastes 2:26.
