The story of a 24-year-old boy who had just gained his sight is a perfect example of how much we stand to learn when we look beyond the surface.
On a seemingly ordinary day, a father and his 24-year-old son were riding a train together. As the boy gazed out of the window, his excitement was palpable. “Dad, look! The trees are going behind us!” he exclaimed with the enthusiasm of a child seeing the world for the first time.
The father smiled warmly while a young couple sitting nearby exchanged glances, clearly finding the young man’s behaviour odd for someone his age.
Moments later, the boy’s joy overflowed again as he shouted, “Dad, look! The clouds are running with us!”
Confused and concerned, the couple whispered to the father, suggesting he seek medical help for his son.
With a calm smile, the father replied, “We are just coming from the hospital. My son was blind from birth, and today, he sees the world for the first time.”
