A 35-year old police officer named, Joseph Ebosele has been reported dead by police officials in Lagos after he was hardly hit with an iron rod by a motorcyclist who he seized his motorcycle on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at about 11pm.
It was learnt that the deceased fainted after falling to the ground. He was rushed to a hospital in an ambulance where he eventually gave up the ghost since he couldn’t survive the severity of the attack meted out on him by Bakare Usman.
On the fateful day, it was alleged that Ebosele had stopped the motorcyclist because he went contrary to a traffic law that prohibits operating a commercial motorcycle after 10 p.m in the state, according to reports.
Afterwards, the deceased police officer seized the motorcycle which infuriated the owner and led him to commiting such heinous offence which left the officer dead.
Meanwhile, the attacker had been arraigned with a charge of murder which he duly pleaded guilty to.
It is expected that the attacker would be brought to book after proper investigations.
