The Islamic State (ISIS) has stepped up its game in its bloody reign of terror,as the United Nations claim that the terror group have begun putting price tags on children and selling them as slaves.
In a report released during the week, the UN focuses on the evils perpetrated by ISIS, including the use of kids, as young as 8 years old as child soldiers
An expert with the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child, Renate Winter said: “We have had reports of children, especially children that are mentally challenged, who have been used as suicide bombers, most probably without them even understanding what has happened or what they have to expect.
“Children of minorities have been captured in places where the so-called ISIL has its strength, have been sold in market with tags, price tags on them, have been sold as slaves.”
Children of Yazidis – a faith which mixes Christianity Judaism and the ancient monotheistic religion of Zoroastrianism and deemed deliv worship by some Muslim – have faced “extraordinary” atrocities as ISIS militants were said to have rounded up all males older than 10-years at a local school, taken outside the village and summarily executed.
The militants are also said to have taken over schools, indoctrinating children with Human Rights Watch stating that ISIS “has specifically recruited children through free schooling campaigns that include weapons training and have given them dangerous tasks, including suicide bombing missions.”
