A security van carrying several millions of cash suddenly had its trunk open in Wan Chan area of Hong Kong on Wednesday, December, 2014.
Eye witnesses were quick to scramble to pick up millions of Hong Kong dollars estimated to be about 1.3 million Hong Kong Dollars, after the notes flew from the back of a security van.
Police and officers have however implored those who picked up the notes to hand it back to the authority.
According to District police officer Wan Siu-hong:
‘Anyone who picked up the cash concerned should hand it over to the police as soon as possible; otherwise, they may have committed the crime of theft.’
The sudden rush of people to the scene of the incident brought traffic came to a grinding halt as motorists also pulled over to grab as much cash as possible.
