The Nasarawa State Election Petition tribunal on Friday, July 10, 2015 granted the request of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) governorship candidate and former information minister, Labaran Maku to inspect the election material used to conduct elections in the state.
It would be recalled that the APGA governorship aspirant is challenging the victory of governor Tanko Al-Makura of the All Progressives Congress APC, at the election petition tribunal.
Vangurad reports that Justice Halima Mohammed granted counsel to Labaran Maku request on the grounds that the application by the third respondent, INEC, failed to adhere to an earlier order.
Justice Halim warned counsels and parties in the petition to desist from act of indolence and technicality. She reminded them that the 180 days given the tribunal in which to depose the petition was sacrosanct.
