A 32-year old Irishman, Trevor Byrne, has asked a judge to put him back in prison because he could not meet with the requirements of his release.
According to World Wide Weird News, Byrne was sentenced to 8 years in prison, with two years suspended after he attempted to rob a woman just 14 hours after he was released from prison.
He had just served a 15-year term for raping another woman, and was released under strict conditions which includes abstaining from alcohol and staying under close supervision by a probation service.
Byrne was jailed again for six months after he was caught with six cans of beer, claiming he needed to stay off drugs and was also taken to court recently by Probation Serveices for not contacting his office after putting off his phone and disappearing several times without notifying the officer.
Representing himself at the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, Byrne said he fired his legal team because “they do not comply with his instructions,” telling Judge Patricia Ryan that he did not want his life controlled.
He said: “I’m entitled to take a few days out of my life to get my head together. Every time I do better I seem to make things worse.”
The judge revoked the suspended sentence and sent him back to jail.
