The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Katsina State, on Saturday, October 16, 2021, held a successful congress via a consensus arrangement.
At the Muhammad Dikkois Stadium, venue of the Congress, the executives were sworn in by the state Attorney-General and Commissioner of Justice, Ahmed El Marzuk.
The State Party Chairman, Sani Ali Ahmed; Deputy State Chairman, Bala Abu Musawa; the Organising Secretary, Shittu A. Shittu; the treasurer, Babangida Aliyu, among others were sworn in.
Aminu Masari, the state governor, while speaking at the event, attributed the success of the APC congress in the state to the cooperation of the party members.
“My profound appreciation goes to APC members in the state both present and absent. If not for their alloyed support, we would not have been able to record the success we achieved in the ward, local government, and state congress today.
“I want to also appreciate the candidate who rescind their interest to respect the party’s decision for a consensus candidate. I pray for Allah’s guidance and protection for those who were elected via consensus affirmation and we are assuring them that we will continue to provide all the necessary support that is required for them to carry out their functions. The essence of the consensus is not to undermine anybody but to provide a level playing ground for all,” Masari said.
