LOS ANGELES, USA – Celebrity power couple Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have announced the birth of their fourth child, Wren Alexander Stephens, born on June 19.
Teigen, 37, shared the joyful news through a heartfelt social media post detailing their surrogacy journey on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.
“For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted four children. As a little girl, 2 glow worms and 2 cabbage patch dolls were perpetually in my arms, helping me stir in my pretend kitchen, watching Alf with me,” Teigen reminisced in her Instagram post.

The couple is also parents to Luna, age 7, Miles, age 4, and Esti, who was born earlier this year.
After experiencing a pregnancy loss in 2020, Teigen had reservations about her ability to carry another child. Motivated by their desire to expand their family, Teigen and Legend, 44, reached out to a surrogacy agency in 2021 to explore the option of having two surrogates simultaneously. Teigen affectionately referred to this idea as “Twins, kinda?!”
Teigen went on to share a poignant moment early in their surrogacy journey. “At some point, early in our surrogacy journey, I came out of a therapy session, walked downstairs and said to John — I want to try to carry just one more time.”
With determination, the couple embarked on the IVF process once again, the same process that brought them Luna and Miles. They created new embryos and were elated to find out that Teigen was pregnant with their daughter, Esti.
In her announcement, Teigen expressed immense gratitude to their “incredible, loving, compassionate” surrogate, Alexandra. “I knew she was a perfect match for us the moment we spoke to her,” Teigen gushed.
“We want to say thank you for this incredible gift you have given us, Alexandra,” Teigen wrote in her tribute to the woman who carried Wren.
Teigen concluded her post with a touching reflection, “Our hearts, and our home, are officially full.”
