“See, I care about you, and I will pay attention to you. Your ground will be plowed and your crops planted.” Ezekiel 36:9 NLT
There are times when we feel like we are all alone, and that no one cares; there are challenges and trials, and it’s like we are struggling with them without any form of support. The disciples once felt that way: they were on sea, and there was a fierce storm; high waves were breaking into the boat, and it began to fill with water. And they went to Jesus Who was sleeping at the back of the boat, shouting, “Teacher, don’t you care that we’re going to drown?”
“Lord, don’t You care?” Is that the question you’re asking today? Maybe you’re sick; maybe you’re in debt; maybe you’re being threatened at work, or having serious marital problems: you’ve cried, you’ve done all you know to do, but it seems to be getting worse; and you’re saying, “God, can’t You see what I’m going through? Don’t You care?”
Jesus woke up, and He rebuked the wind and the waves; then He asked the disciples, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?” Can you stop being worried and afraid and just believe God for a miracle today? He cares about you. Yes, God cares about you and all that concerns you. You’ve been carrying your problems; it’s time to hand them over to Jesus. 1 Peter 5:7 says, “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” Amen.
