“The land of Egypt is before you. Have your father and brothers dwell in the best of the land; let them dwell in the land of Goshen. And if you know any competent men among them, then make them chief herdsmen over my livestock.” Genesis 47:6 NKJV
Some of God’s children have inferiority complex; or they have a wrong understanding of what it means to be humble. They don’t think that they deserve the best; and even when God is giving them something good they reject it.
Just like when Mary anointed Jesus with an expensive perfume; the Bible tells us the reaction of the disciples; they were indignant, and said, “Why this waste? For this fragrant oil might have been sold for much and given to the poor.” Hahaha. They didn’t think that even Jesus deserved the best; they expected Jesus to rebuke her, but instead He commended her and promised that her name would live forever!
David said in Psalm 16:6, “The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; yes, I have a good inheritance.” I want it to be your confession throughout today, and probably throughout the week. Just keep saying, “Lord, my share on earth is wonderful. My inheritance is very beautiful.” The Israelites were strangers in Egypt but they got the best. So shall it be for you in Jesus name! Amen.
