Chelsea have been given the green light to sign Paul Pogba after Juventus admitted they don’t need to keep him.
Pogba has emerged as a crucial summer target for the Blues, who have huge cash to spend on transfers after getting a Financial Fair Play boost.
Chelsea are being tipped to lodge a £70million summer bid, and now Juve say they don’t need to keep the Frenchman, who is currently injured.
‘We are here celebrating a victory achieved by a team, a team that played without Pogba,’ said CEO Giuseppe Marotta.
‘This means football is a team sport and not just about individuals.’
Juve say they have had no talks with anybody about selling Pogba, but summer offers are expected to arrive soon – with Chelsea leading the pack.
